Hi everyone 😀
My name’s Larissa (yep, I’m creative with my screen-names…) and I’ve only just stumbled upon this forum, but I’m so glad I did!
My DP, myself, Miss Nearly 2 and our Labrador have just moved from a tiny little block onto a bit bigger block of land in a slightly different town in SE ‘burbs of Melbourne.
We seem to have a lot more space though, which I love and want to utilise.
I’ve loved gardening all my life, but it’s now that I really want to get into it. Our new garden has only a few small shrubs we are planning to rip out, and then we’ll have a blank canvas to which we’ll try and be a bit more self-sufficiant.
I have a worm-farm that has been set up for about 10 days now, and
I’ve been reading up on dwarf fruit trees, vegie growing and chook keeping, which lead me to this forum 🙂
I’m so, so excited to start this journey, and I’m very glad I found this place to read and share!
Can’t wait to get to know you all, this forum looks so detailed and comprehensive 🙂
You should enjoy the forum. There is so much fabulous information here.
Welcome to ALS Larissa, I am sure you gain heaps of knowledge from many interesting people on here.
Welcome Larissa! It’s great to see another SE Victorian! Tis handy to know what local-ish people are growing! 🙂
And you’ve made your first post, so I’m sure the training wheels can now come off! 😆
Welcome to the group! how exciting having a blank canvas to work with – hope you have lots of fun getting your garden established. There’s quite a few of us out here in the SE of Melbourne! I’m new to the group too and am busy digging up part of the lawn at my new house to make way for a veggie patch.

Hello, Mossy made me sign up. As I was telling her about how I was inspired by Stephanie Alexander’s “Kitchen Garden” foundation & I wanna start an edible garden in my own home – but I have NO money, so Mossy told me to have a look thru some of the ideas on this forum! 🙂
