Vegs, rosella, lady finger okra, long raddish, bok choi, baby blue pumpkin, coriander or flat leaf parsely
Most of these require a frost free zone
That’s good of you Bushy. Will be sending my envelope pronto!
Just so as to secure my seeds lol I’d like some of the grevillea, baby blue punkin and I’d like to try some rosellas too please and thank you.
Can you please give me a run down on rosellas? And also, what’s finger okra? Oh, and what’s an orchid tree? Thanks. Would *you* like any comfrey root cuttings? It’s about all I have until things get going.
just a description of above.
I grow 6 varieties of pumpkin and the baby blue is the best.About 15cm dia.
probably too late down south for rosellas, annual, makes great jam. I tried growing it at Canberra, unsuccessfully.
Lady finger okra is one of many cultivars, also now too late in the south.Annual, fantastic in soups, stews. Natural thickner.
The Bixa was used for all red food colouring once, margerine and lipstick, one common name is lipstick tree.Amazon native, maybe too cool in vic
Orchid tree is very showy in spring with orchi like flowers, only down to 7c temps
The grevillia is a silver – grey folage, not sure of name
Would really like to try comfrey
Thanks Bushy. We don’t get any frost here and no way as cold as Canberra. Our summers are longish, March and April will still be hot and dry. I’ll give what ever you reckon a try and will dig up some comfrey root for you…once you have it growing you will have an endless supply for yourself and to give away.
I have young pumpkins in now just starting to flower and my tomatos and zucchinis are all only just flowering now.My pick as you need lettuces are finally starting to grow and I should have something to eat by about, oh, end of Feb I reckon!!:lol::lol::lol:
