As we are going to be moving countries in a few months, we are having to get rid of our homemade system.
It’s an excellent beginner system to get you started or additional parts to an existing system.
It’s a very simple setup based on the original ‘barrel-ponics’ design. I currently have 6 Shubunkin fish and a handful of plants all doing fine. I’m happy to re-house the fish if they’re not wanted but would prefer that the whole setup is taken as it’s fairly useless to me in parts.
Pictures attached – only thing I might hold onto is my timer.
Local pick up would be easiest – I’m in West Brunswick.
I am tempted but I don’t really have a spot for it
HI there evhcreative
Thanx for the bump, Bobbee 🙂
You are most welcome Andre. Such a terrific freebie deserved to be accepted by someone I reckon.
Have a good one,
I collected the aquaponics system this weekend, and started to set it up.
As I live in a townhouse with a smallish courtyard … what I’ve done is fitted the fish-tank inside the frame, under the plant beds. This is so it takes less room. Needless to say, this also meant rearranging some of the piping. Hopefully, I’ll get it finished tomorrow morning before heading back to Canberra. (that way DW isn’t lumped with the daily watering and maintenance).
Pics will probably have to wait, I’m afraid.
Thanx a bunch for this opportunity to foray into the world of aquaponics.
Apart from the Curry Plant and Sage .. what type of capsicums were they?
Also, I’ve added broccoli, rocket and snow peas to the mix. 🙂
T’riffic news Andre.
Goodluck with it all.
Bobbs
Glad you were able to get everything home in one piece!! Hope the fish go alright as well!
The peppers were buffalo capsicums. Can’t wait to see the pics!
