I have decided to share the tales of what happens down
in the Valley.
I live on a property at the western base of the blue mountains
In the Hartley Valley.
I have a large vegie garden that my grandfather built back
I’m the 60’s and I now have 9 pure australorp hens and 1
One rooster. I have a mixed breed hen and a (not too sure)
Hen-rooster with a wonky tail
Last night we added another 2 ducks so we now have
2 drakes and 5 hens.
We also acquired a guinea pig last night
Add to that 3 monkeys aka children and an American
I’m going to write this blog for anyone that wants to join me
And for my own progress.
Please feel free to add comments or let me know where
I’m going wrong or just enjoy the journey
How very lovely that you get to live in the house where your grandparents lived! It sounds very nice indeed 🙂
Looking forward to hearing all about your journey Jenoka 🙂
Thanks Bel and Miaow I am very grateful to be living here.
Spring is springing everywhere I look. The willows have a green
Tinge and over the last 2 days I have spotted 3 new calves.
I will add a pic but it’s not that clear as I had to zoom in.
Cows hide there babies anywhere from a week up to a month.
My plans for the weekend is to make my own fertiliser and clean
Out the deep litter from the chook and duck coops.
This will be the much on my newly acquired garden.
The story of “the bull the trees and the tractor” is one o will be telling
I have several blueberries raspberries lavender and rosemary all ready
To plant in there.
I also have quite a number of herbs to start potting up
As usual a busy weekend, what are your plans
Also any advice on the best time to plant citrus trees
Have a great day everyone
Two new ducks. Still camera shy
On Monday I went to get Two ducklings came home
With one duckling one older duck and a guinea pig
