So, just before wrapping up work for Xmas, a colleague gave me some surplus seedlings in exchange for egg boxes. I have approximately six capsicum plants, six baby corn, five or six each of pod peas and snow peas, and a couple of cucumber plants.

Now because of time and space restrictions (and possums) I don’t have a veggie bed – I do have one of those walk-in plastic-covered greenhouses. (I have a smaller one for my herbs). At the moment its sole occupant is a large pot with my tomato plant. I could grow the peas in pots with trellises against the back ‘wall’ where there are no shelves, but will the caps and cukes be ok in pots?

I grow capsicums in pots and they do well
    Never tried cukes
