No pics ANdy…yep horse and carriage (actually pony and cart). I am learning to drive so I can drive my 2 trotters when petrol runs out :tup:November 9, 2009 at 9:59 am #438196
E – That sounds fantastic!!! So when I ride past your neck of the woods and see a pony and cart I should come introduce myself to ya 🙂November 9, 2009 at 10:01 am #438197
I emptied the house tank today. So I stood in the running water and cooled my feet for some time – on a hot day like today it was lovely. Also sat in the shade and watched the pattern of the clouds’ shadows on the fields.November 9, 2009 at 10:21 am #438198
Rode my bike this morning and then tonight went for a kayak while waiting for dd to do her gymnastics training. Almost feel guilty so much time spent just on me…November 9, 2009 at 10:48 am #438199

Hows everyone going?
Time for myself is becomming a sight for sore eyes lately.
But i was up at 4:50am doing washing and transplanting my mini pumkin (which has gotten to big) to a big pot outside the patch and its doing well 🙂
And i planted some more seedlings 🙂
Herbman, hows your DS and family going?
You & DW like being grandparents? (I know your already grandparents but im sure you get what im saying 😉 )November 13, 2009 at 8:54 am #438201
Havn’t had time to turn around! I have been so tied up with my relative, running errands, multiple phone calls daily, moving her to another town, cleaning her empty unit, all the while dealing with someone who is depressed, bossy (an understatement) and a control freak!! I am the only person she is related to here, and she is my Mum’s second cousin so its a pretty big stretch! Now that its finished, I will try to do something for myself over the weekend. Too tired to think what at the moment!:lol:November 13, 2009 at 9:09 am #438202
I took some really big steps to do something for myself this week. Asked the bosses for an extra month off work.
On a smaller note (though no less significant for me) I spent the afternoon being present when DS and family came to visit. DS and I even threw an old footy around for a bit, and he picked me up and carried me around to show off his strength. It was very special.November 16, 2009 at 5:13 am #438203
Ok – I did something for myself! I have spent the entire afternoon watching “The Gilmore Girls” Season Two, on DVD….accompanied by M & Ms and marshmallows!! ( they have suffered a severe reduction in numbers but it was for a noble cause 😆 )November 16, 2009 at 8:53 am #438204
well I did something for myself today. Went for a very rare haircut. I maybe do this once every 2 years. I went for a TRIM and now have no hair. I am regretting this decision in a MAJOR WAY. It took me 18 months to grow my hair to shoulder length as it grows very slowly, now I am back to sqaure one 🙁 🙁 🙁November 16, 2009 at 10:04 am #438205
Don’t worry baringapark, it will be lovely and cool for summer. I clipper mine off on a #3 every so often and it really is liberating – saves time and money. Its a good excuse to wear big earrings too!;)November 16, 2009 at 11:20 am #438206
I am sure that it looks fabulous ENovember 16, 2009 at 11:21 am #438207

:hug::hug::hug:’s to E and Herbie and Angelpuss and Gothee, ‘cos you all need it or deserve it in one way or another. I love to read the supportive posts of many of the floks on this site.:tup::tup:
The thing I did for myself today was, after reading Geoff’s post re idiotic [my interpretation – not Geoff’s words] behaviour from some of we alsers, to pm Geoff my support.
I felt really good after doing that. This site has been really good to me and for me and IMO, it is a shame that there always seems to be one, or sometimes a few, people who relish trying to cause problems.
i red wot Geoff sed……and i thunked and i thunked……and ven i dun wot i dun….
And now I feel comfortable and good about myself.
