Hi Has anybody tried any of the Coles – Green choice product range??
If so how was it?
Yesterday I brought their washing powder for all in one cloth nappies- hope it goes ok
Have a great day all!
Nup, I don’t shop at Coles. Or Woolies.
I avoid whenever possible too, think I have bought a Green choice laundry liquid and found it as good as any. Wasnt blown away by the quality or anything, because of power we only ever use cold water for washing which just doesnt work the best with our quality stains.
Hi. Excuse my ignorance but may I ask is it best to try and avid big department stores and their products as then they will ” take over” the smaller companies
– sorry I’m just learning all this
Might return the powder to the store!!!!
Its a personal choice Redgreen, but I usually manage to avoid Coles/Woolies 99% of the time and shop at the Adelaide Central Market, local farmers markets, bakery, butcher, health/bulk food stores and the local IGA, along with growing as much F&V as I can. Unfortunately I’m temporarily in Darwin and am really struggling with having not found options for groceries yet (and having to buy loads more than I normally do as I don’t have stocked cupboards!) and limited options on the F&V – in Adelaide I’m used to popping in to the market every day or two, here weekends are my only option and depend on whether DH is working or not!! When I do shop, I avoid anything with imported ingredients (when that is possible, seems to be less and less options), and then opt for a branded product (Australian if it exists) over home brand, even though it usually costs more.
If you look around your local area you’ll be surprised how many options are out there, and how much more enjoyable your shopping can be when you get to know the people who are making/growing the food you are purchasing – notwithstanding the ‘feel good’ of supporting a local small business rather than the big corporates.
