Although I love a bargain myself, it makes you wonder what the farmer is getting out of this 🙁

Woolies have changed their price too – $1 for 1L, $2 for 2L and etc. Think the skim is dearer though…
You’re getting a good deal buying the Pauls!
No you’re not when you consider what Pauls buys the milk for and the distance it travels to be processed and then returned to us! Stick with the Mooloo, or seek out your most local brand – would that be Maleny Milk, or Kenilworth? Better yet – Edenhope?
there was a news story about this. they didnt cut what they pay the farmers for milk. they increased the price of petrol through their outlets to cover it. when you think about it what better to use as a “loss leader” than essential items like milk bread and butter, people will go in for cheap milk and bread then end up buying other things they remember because they are already in the store. it makes much more sense than the usual things they use as loss leaders that you can easily do without but might buy if they are cheap and you were there.
the large supermarkets never lose. I know when woolies buy off the farmers they give them a low price but a guarantee to buy , but when they put the stock in the shops the farmers are debited for stock that doesnt sell or spoils. This has happened to lots of farmers here.
I know what your saying and i wonder too but saying we should boycott the milk is so silly (not you the person on the news).
You see i buy that one cos it is cheaper, when you count your penny’s and need to make it stretch sometimes you cannot buy more expensive or local brands. Id love to but that isn’t possible and id rather everyone in my family have cheap bread and milk then nothing. (we even by the long life before this cos it was cheaper but now we don’t have to).
That is just another side of the fence i guess? 🙂
yep, I buy the cheapest too. I only draw the line at buying foreign produce.
I thought it was here  but anyway somewhere I read that the cheap milk was from China …………
not that I would touch dead white liquid moo juice ………..
