I live in quite a dry Mediterranean climate. 2015 our rainfall was only 284mm. It has been a bad year, when we first bought the place 7 years age the rainfall was twice that. Even so we still manage to grow quite a few veggies over winter is better of course and once the fruit trees are established they cope.
I write my rainfall on my calender, last year I had two and I can’t find the other one – so have no idea really what our rainfall was for last year
but I do know the winters have got warmer, not as many frosts as when I first moved here – maybe I shouldn’t have got that cherry tree???
Winter has changed here no more -15° so makes it easier to grow stuff.
Rainfall 2015 was pretty good really 888mm added it up the other day….
calliecat maybe you should have got a tropical cherry
ballamara I know how you feel about poor rainfall we had some years with low rainfall several years in a row and you start to think vegies aren’t worth it and you struggle to save the trees ……….. and triffids lol
got it from daryl, he said others here have one, plus didn’t know there was one, but it needed to be dwarf
888mm Judi B in my wildest dreams I can’t picture that
888mm is just so unusual for us closer to 500mm is the norm here….. we just figure that it is global warming kicking in as we don’t get the savage frost like we used to…. I wish I could send you rain
first for the year 8mm
beat us again callie only 7mm here
Its been a dry wet season so far
We got a nice soaking overnight expecting some more today.
We got nothing but towards Seymour they got 40-50 mm in a short period of time causing flooding.
My 2015 rainfall total was 928.8mm compared to 582.3mm in 2014. A big difference!
Now I know I am living in the wrong state
34mm this morning
That’s a nice shower. It just started here 10 minutes ago.
lots of water here, not as heavy now, but still raining
