 great work Ahning, I reckon if you have a sore arm, leg, whatever, exercise heals.
Have you got a car mate or still riding a horse?
Never had a horse, though I desperately wanted one when I was a suburban kid. I drive past a Welsh pony stud on the way into town though, and sometimes indulge a little fantasy about giving an old pony a useful retirement towing a couple of cartloads of scythe cut hay for stacking once or twice a year. Don’t think it’ll happen, but it’s a nice daydream.
I’ll be buying a field scythe blade (75cm long against my trimming blade’s 55cm) next. If I was braver I’d get the 90cm one; I’m sure I could handle the blade but I don’t think I could cope with the weight of grass that cuts at each stroke
As our land is hilly with quite a few rocks,I would love to be able to use a scythe however with my balance I would probably cut my feet off.But on saying that DH might like to try I will show him the link.
