It’s all about oi (and gas).
It makes me nervous.
East Timor is under no obligation to be consider themselves a part of Australia’s sphere of influence, They can do deals with whoever they like. And frankly after Julias blunder about trying to open a boat people centre in their country with out first discussing it properly in a proper fashion, I to would be mistrustful of Australia and it’s motives.
That would be really great if they could decide for themselves!
Do they need to be under a sphere of influence at all – just a thought.
However the poor guys might get crushed between the two spheres and Julia will do whatever big mining dictates.
