I’ve got a few excess plants…thought I might offer them on here…
Strawberry ‘Cambridge Rival’…I have far too many runners! Can probably do quite a few (managed to get around 200 excess runners out of the other bed, so this one may be similar). Fantastic flavoured strawberry & has been a real hit with the kids (& the neighbours) this year. I also have some runners from another couple of strawberries but can’t be 100% sure of the varieties. One is possibly ‘Hokowase’ but I don’t know which (if any). They’re certainly very nice.
Lemongrass. My plant needs to be divided, so there are quite a few small rooted bulbs avail.
Black taro. Taken
Silvanberry canes. Have a couple more canes avail now
Summer-fruiting raspberries. All the large canes have been taken but I have a few smaller canes that are just emerging that are avail if you want them…they should be just as good as the older canes, just smaller initially!
Vietnamese mint…always have a few runners of this avail.
Moroccan mint…very limited quantities of small runners avail. The best mint for making mint tea with.
Chinese artichokes. Taken
NZ Yam (oca). Taken
Thornless blackberry canes. One or two canes left.
Boysenberry canes. Have a few of these still available – discovered even more today when I was digging round.
Petunia ‘Dwarf Compact Mix’ seeds. Unopened packet of 750 seeds. Mr Fothergill’s brand.
Black sapote (seedling). Also known as chocolate pudding fruit. Although this is a tropical fruit, it will grow in Melbourne if protected during winter. Has been growing in my garden for about a year. Am about to replace it with a named variety. You MUST be able to come pick it up or I may be able to drop it off, depending on where you live – I cannot post this, I’m sorry.
Clivia. Have two plants avail. One is yellow & not sure what the other one is…problem is, I’m not sure which is which!
Any (or all) of the above are avail for swap or sale. Would prefer swap…either (unusual edible) plants or seeds or something garden-related. My ultimate swap would be some Black Boy peach buds if anyone has a tree (although obviously it’s the wrong time of year to be budding!). Or possibly something from the following (& yes, I know some of these might not be avail at the moment…it’s just my “wish list”):
daylilly rhizomes (if avail?)
scented geraniums (except Citronelle variety, which isn’t edible)
stevia (plant, not seeds)
dwarf banana sucker
something else – surprise me!
To see the sorts of things I already have in the garden, you can see my (incomplete) planting list here: http://myfolia.com/gardener/epiphany/plants & an idea of what seeds I already have here: http://myfolia.com/gardener/epiphany/swap_list They give you an idea of what I already have & the sorts of things I’m interested in (although the planting list is incomplete at the moment).
As always, I’m in VIC, so can’t post to WA or TAS because of quarrantine (sorry). Thanks!June 28, 2010 at 12:46 pm #470177

I have some broad bean seeds if your interested? I would love some raspberries or lemon grass if there is any spare and possible to post to SA. :tup:June 30, 2010 at 2:21 pm #470180
I’m probably ok for broad bean seeds at the moment but just about anything else that isn’t already on my swap list (yes, I know it’s not in a nice format to look through…I’ve suggested they make it searchable or in alphabetical order), I’d be interested in. It’s a shame I didn’t think about it earlier – I could have sent you some with those tomato seeds!
Marz…are you still interested int he black taro? Haven’t heard back from you yet…July 1, 2010 at 6:49 am #470181gypsyoakMember
well i feel dumb:lol: I didn’t even realise it was you!! duh!!
I know of some roadside weed wormwood plants, i can get some cuttings for you. Do you reckon they will be ok to post?July 1, 2010 at 7:59 am #470182GrethMember
I have about 18 vars of scented geranium, have true wormwood, tree wormwood, African wormwood, Camphor and Roman wormwoods. Society garlic and true liqorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra. Can do pots or cuttings of most, cuttings only with some.
Happy with any berries or rhubarb. PM if interested.July 1, 2010 at 3:31 pm #470183
Gypsyoak & Greth…sounds great! Will PM you 🙂July 1, 2010 at 9:48 pm #470184

Hi Epiph, I’ve sent 2 PM’s to you but you obviously haven’t received them – they’re not in my outbox either – don’t know what’s happening to them – your inbox isn’t full is it?
But yes please I would like some silvanberries and black taro – if you still have them 🙂July 1, 2010 at 9:55 pm #470185
Just sent another PM – let me know if you get it pls.July 1, 2010 at 10:43 pm #470186GrethMember
epiphany, have a look at my garden log, somewhere in the earliest page should be a list of the scented geraniums I have, Happy to post separate pics of any you are interested in if you want to see what they look like, they vary so much.July 2, 2010 at 5:29 am #470187
Marz…nope, didn’t get that one either. Will PM you & see if that works. Let me know if you don’t get it.
Greth…just had a look at your log thread. Wow – your garden must smell gorgeous! Will get back to you this afternoon about varieties.July 2, 2010 at 6:32 am #470188
Ok…I haven’t had enough sleep & didn’t realise that yes, my inbox was full. Sigh. This has now been rectified. Sorry about that (& feel free to send a PM…it’ll get through now…lol).
Gypsyoak…I goofed with that last PM. I meant raspberries & lemongrass. Not silvanberries. I tried to send an updated PM but your inbox is full. So ignore what I said & just pretend I got it right the first time. I should learn not to PM when I’ve had less than 4 hours sleep!July 5, 2010 at 4:14 am #470189
Just bumping this because a few things have been added to the first post (plus numbers updated, etc).July 5, 2010 at 8:41 am #470190BangersMember
