The pond from the seat, the dunny is where the water comes from also.

Well I was sitting out the front yard near the fish pond waiting fo DH to return home and thought I'd take some pics of our quiet area.

We like to have a coffee and a chat up here, even though the main road is beyond the trees it's not a busy road so is rather quiet at times.

It's also a good spot to just sit on your own and think or not think.

Lastly the occupants if the pond enjoying some wholemeal bread, fish slow down in winter and only need feeding every so often and usually only need bread, but come summer they will get their fish food.

K26 love your pics. Did you build the fish pond and what did you line it with?

I am hoping to build a small shaded frog pond and larger "native" open pond for any wildlife that wants to take up residence. There is a lagoon of sorts close by which has wild ducks in it which I would love to attract. Part of the block has some clay but it wont be good enough to hold water so need a liner of sorts.

What a lovely spot Karyn. I love to sit on my own and think too. Or as you say, not think. :)

I love how you have hidden and disguised things too.

Thanks all glad you enjoyed the pond area.

Steve my DH likes to think outside the square hence the different take on the pond, the toilet is also a water spout when the pump is on,plus on the other side of the pond is a pile of rocks that is a waterfall with another croc sitting on the rocks. The white wishing well also came from the tip.

Porgy DH bought rubber pond liner probably the only expensive cost to the pond. There was a rather big hole there to start with as the previous owners made a pond but their St Barnards got into it,so it sat as an eye-sore for years till DH did a Hort course and made the pond again.

Mistyhollows the plants are dwarf diosma -supposedly- they are growing in clay soil built up to form a wall get little watering.
Behind them is the native garden.

The very large trees in the background are across the road, give you an idea how close it is.

The paddock near the bird house is ours ,we are separated from the neighbours by the paddock, this is where the sheep usually are.In the fenced off area is where I have planted some golden ash trees and hope to get in an English LAvender tree soon.It used to be part of the the orange orchard, same with the native garden area,we only kept the lemon tree no need for 7 orange trees.
